GlinkVisual - mainframe access from a .NET environment
Aimed at developers from the Visual Basic community GlinkVisual allows an easy way to have local Windows applications aaccess mainframe data. The best news is that the GlinkVisual runtime OCX component is delivered free of charge as part of the Glink Professional or Glink Enterprise Edition license.

The GlinkVisual Forms assistant
The GlinkVisual Forms Assistant is a separate product required for the GlinkVisual development and maintenance.With the GlinkVisual Forms Assistant you can step through your core business applications and identify screens that you would like your client programs to recognize, and then assign logical names to areas of the screen and input fields. The GlinkVisual API sends a GlinkVisual FORM event to the client program when an identified screen is recognized. The client program can then use the logical names to access the areas and fields.

Internals
GlinkVisual uses GlinkAPI COM+ component, which is limited to 5 API sessions by the Glink Professional license. These API session are counted and therefore restrict the usage of GlinkVisual as a server component. It is intended as a client facility. Customers requiring more than 5 sessions must purchase Glink Enterprise Edition which is licensed by number of sessions regardless of the number of users or API programs using it. The Run-time GlinkVisual OCX (gvisual.ocx) is delivered, installed and setup with Glink Professional or Glink Enterprise edition.
