NATIONALISATION

Glink Nationalisation

Glink supports most languages for mainframe communication.
7-bit ASCII translation tables are supplied for communication with mainframes that use any of the ASCII 7-bit national character sets
8-bit ASCII tables are provided for mainframes that use the international 8-bit ISO character sets.
Glink supplies its own fonts for some of the Windows code pages (CP1253 - Greek, CP1250 - Latin-2).
By selecting Windows fonts rather than the Glink fonts, any of the languages supported by Windows can be used (Latin-2, Greek, Cyrillic, Turkish, etc.). Glink supports both Chinese GBK and Japanese Shift-JIS.
Mainframes may also use any of the Windows or DOS character sets.
A utility is provided for generating additional user-defined tables to meet special needs.
All program texts are implemented separately from the executable programs for ease of translation to other languages.
