Glink Enterprise and Professional Edition Windows serial and telephony: interfaces for modem users. Network connections: for Intranets, Extranets and Internet Glink supports Windows Sockets for all the TCP/IP based protocols. It also supports other interfaces having a native 32bit API (Atlantis/Eicon/Cirel).
Glink Standard Edition The standard edition is no longer sold, but is in maintenence. It has a dual 16/32 bit architecture, and can thus support obsolete communications interfaces.
Glink Standard Edition supports the maximum rated speed of the serial port (or driver): the standard is 57600bps for Windows, but Glink will run up to 256000bps if this is supported by the driver.
Glink Standard Edition supports most commercially available LAN interfaces for connection to communications servers or hosts. These include all normal communications APIs (see the technical specifications for details), and specific socket interfaces for all major TCP/IP vendors. For NetBios and SPX/IPX Local Area Networks a modem pooling facility is included free of charge with the product.
Additionally Glink Standard Edition supports the Windows Sockets interface providing access to vendor-independent TCP/IP. Direct support is provided for synchronous cards for polled VIP connections, and several commercial gateways for X.25 and TGX connections are also supported.
For GCOS6 connections using DNTD a range of gateway products (NetBios, TCP/IP, SPX/IPX) is available from G&R (see separate product descriptions).
