Load balancing and backup with Gproxy
Ggate Professional Edition is licensed by number of concurrent sessions, distributed over multiple servers if desired. The license fee is te same whether all sessions are allocated to a single server or split over multiple servers. When Ggate is installed on multiple servers it is recommended to also install the G&R Gproxy software on every Ggate server. Gproxy collects statistics abput all available Ggate servers in the network. Gproxy can also be used to balance the load between the servers; either equally between the servers or according to an assigned load factor if the hardware capabilities of the servers differ. If one or more of the Ggate servers are shut down for maintenance, Gproxy will distribute their licenses to the remaining servers.

GgatePlus
Gproxy can be purchased independently per server. It is however available in the GgatePlus Professional Edition package. This package includes Ggate Professional, Gproxy, Gspool and the GUFT server. GgatePlus is sold by total number of Ggate sessions. It can be installed on as many servers as necessary. Each server included in the license can run Gspool and GUFT (in additiona to Ggate and Gproxy).
